Son William E. Kennedy joins the company, steering a direction toward manufacturing above- and below-ground tanks for a growing automobile market.

William E. Kennedy opens Southern Tank and Manufacturing Co., Inc., to service the southern Midwest.

William E. Kennedy, Jr., joins the firm, steering the company toward more engineering-intensive storage tanks and pressure vessels.

William E. Kennedy, Jr., opens Steel Tank & Fabricating Corp. in Columbia City, Indiana, to service the upper Midwest.

Field services, erection of large-diameter tanks, expansion of high-powered boiler repairs, and an ability to work with multiple alloys mark an evolution of the company beyond steel tank manufacturing.

Patrick William Kennedy, having joined the business in 1979, becomes the fourth generation family member to helm the business.

The family legacy continues: Sons Patrick Kennedy, Bill Kennedy and Jim Kennedy join the business, plus cousin (and current salesman) Kevin Bolin.

After the loss of Patrick Kennedy to COVID-19, Bill Kennedy becomes the fifth generation of family to lead the business, supported by Jim Kennedy, current Vice President of Sales.

Kennedy Tank embarks upon a 5,000-sq.-ft. expansion of its Indianapolis facilities to better support manufacturing and repair services alike.

We acquired the rights to Chicago Power and Process, allowing us to build LNG vaporizers for peak shaving power plants located in the U.S.
2024

Kennedy Tank adds 12,000-square-foot manufacturing expansion to improve safety and efficiency on larger diameter vessels and tanks.
